What to expect

What Happens After You Call

You call, you tell us what the door is doing - won't open, slams down, grinds, one side hangs lower than the other - and we figure out roughly what's wrong before a truck ever leaves.

  1. Aging spring failure patterns

Most of the doors we see in this area went up between 1980 and 2014, with a lot of that stock clustered in the early-to-mid 1990s, so we already know the common failure points on that generation of torsion springs and openers before we knock on the door.

  2. Drive gear wear clue

Once we're at the house, we look at the whole system, not just the symptom. A spring that snapped on a 1990s-era door often means the opener's drive gear is close behind it, worn down from years of taking extra strain. We tell you what we see, what it costs, and what order to fix it in if there's more than one problem.

  3. Saving a serviceable door

We don't push a full door replacement when a spring and a new set of rollers will get another decade out of it - and we'll say so plainly if that's the honest answer. Some parts on older setups aren't things we carry on the truck every day. If a job needs a less common part, we'll tell you that up front instead of guessing at a timeline we can't keep.

Our services

The Work We Take On

We work on the doors people actually have in Buda and the surrounding area - broken torsion and extension springs, cables that have jumped the drum, bent tracks, worn rollers, openers that run but won't fully close, and panels dented from a car bumper or a storm.

Mixed torsion and belt hardware

With housing in this service area mostly built from the 1980s through the mid-2010s (median year 1993), we see a steady mix of older torsion hardware that's reached the end of its spring cycle and newer belt-drive openers that need a sensor or logic board looked at.

Outlying households, similar wear

We also hear from households further out - Manchaca four miles up the road, Shady Hollow six miles north, Creedmoor seven miles out - where the doors tend to run a little newer but the same spring and cable wear shows up once a door's put in enough cycles. We don't do new construction installs as a standalone service; our work is repair, replacement of failed components, and swapping a door that's past saving for a new one.

Track straighten-or-swap tradeoff

One limit worth naming: if a door's track is badly bent on a stucco or stone-clad opening, straightening it sometimes isn't worth the labor compared to a new track section - we'll tell you which makes more sense for your door rather than billing for a fix that won't hold.

Get in touch

Contacting Us

Call 737-450-3760 and tell us what the door's doing. We're at 800 S FM 1626, Buda, TX 78610, and we run calls for the surrounding area out to places like Dripping Springs, Wimberley, and Lockhart, each a fair drive from the shop, so where you're calling from affects how we schedule the day.

If you're not sure whether it's worth a call - a door that's noisy but still closing, say - tell us that too. We'd rather talk it through on the phone than have you wait until a cable snaps on a door that's holding up a car.

Questions

Common questions

Do you work on doors outside Buda itself?

Yes. We take calls from the surrounding service area, including places like Manchaca, Shady Hollow, and Creedmoor, a few miles out from Buda. The farther out, like Dripping Springs or Lockhart, the more that affects same-day scheduling, so it helps to say where you're calling from.

My house was built in the early 1990s - is that an issue for parts?

Not usually. A lot of the housing stock in this area dates to the 1980s and 90s, so we see that generation of torsion spring and opener setup often. The springs themselves are a standard wear item; it's only the rarer opener models where parts take longer to source.

Do you replace doors or just repair them?

Both. If a repair will reasonably hold - new rollers, a spring, a cable - we'll say so instead of pushing a replacement. If the track or door panel is damaged past the point repair makes sense, we'll tell you that plainly and quote the replacement instead.

What if I'm not sure the problem needs a service call?

Call anyway and describe what's happening. A door that's noisy but still working might just need lubrication or a roller swap, not a full visit. We'd rather talk it through on the phone than have you wait until something fails completely.
